GK3 Main Title - There are no more dreams (Skylark song)
by Martin the Builder, published on February 15, 2002
Where, has all of it gone to? I think that once I knew. But those days are gone.
For I have lost the dreams, lost my beacon gleams.
Once I relished in their light... once I knew no night...
And the skylarks sang to the breeze, and the world knew day. I never felt that way When my darkness surfaced. Now a raven perches Where the skylarks stood.
There are no more dreams
There are no more dreams, no more solid seams, nor golden streams.
There are no more dreams. No more beacon gleams.
Once I relished in their light, and I knew no night.
For my father's sins, put to sleep, stole my right to weep. But weep, still I did, 'til the oceans flooded. Suicidal wrists bled, drowned the skylark's song.
There are no more dreams
I still hunt the dreams. So very hard it seems I cannot redeem.
But I am not that brave. Yet in these times, I stay,
without my dreams to guide me. Blinded, cannot see...
I don't understand my courage. Whatever was it born of, and why does it haunt me? I'm better in my sleep. with my dreams as company, and the skylark's song.
Wherever have they gone?
