GK3 Walkthrough - Day 3, 9pm-midnight

At the beginning of the timeblock, Gabriel has just returned in his hotel room after having been pursued by the vampires: he tells Grace, Mosely, Emilio and Mesmi what has just happened. They decide to enter the Temple to save Charlie - Prince James' baby: Grace, Mesmi and Mosely will go there while Grace will stay in the hotel room with Emilio. You start playing when Gabriel gets in the

Temple Porch
You are in front of a huge chessboard which leads to eight doors on the other side. You are connected with Grace by radio, so if you want to, ask her information about the Chessboard first (right-click, then use the "headset" icon).

EASTER EGG: Clown Shoes
Turn on the Clown Shoes Egg, putting the shoes on Mesmi while working on the temple puzzles, and Mesmi will eventually float through the roof.

Let's start in the position of the black knight: jump on the black crossed square (click on it, then use the "jump" icon). As soon as you do, the swords that are painted on some of the squares light up: you need to turn them off all and to land in front of the door with the circle. The rules are: never jump twice on the same square and avoid the squares with the skull. There are more than one possible combinations and actually you can start from whatever square you prefer: the diagram below shows one of the possible combinations.

Here's also a list of all the jumps (first you should number the rows of the chessboard from the left black corner as following: the rows from 1 to 8 and the columns from A to H, like in a real chessboard):

When you have solved the chessboard puzzle (10, 871/965) you arrive in the

Temple Room #1
In front of you there's a clockwise rotating circle of stone blocks and a deadly pendulum with a blade: you need to get on that stone pillar in the middle of the room. As you can see, four of the blocks have a symbol on them. Let a symbol square and the following one pass by, and jump immediately on the following one. This is the best position to do what you need: as you approach to the pendulum, grab it (position the mouse cursor on the blade and wait until it becomes a golden anime hand, then click on it) (05, 876/965). Note: it's good to save the game now, since there's still a chance for you to die: in that case, you would have to do again all that nasty previous part on the circle. You should be now flying across the room on the pendulum. Grab the pillar as you did before (05, 881/965). Well done: you are now safe. But only for a while... On the pillar there is a scale and five golden objects. You need to position them on the scale to make it balance. If you do wrong, the pendulum blade will fall on you, beheading poor Gabriel. Ask Grace for help about the symbols, then put on the scale the 8-shaped object (click on it, then use the "scale" icon), the apple and the egg (10, 891/965). As soon as you do it, the pillar will descend, carrying you to the ground. Next room is

Temple Room #3
Notice the big statue of Solomon next to the entrance. Ask Grace some help about the room where you are (02, 893/965). Now enter in the room: there are three lit corners: go in the one where you see two gloves and pick up the black glove (02, 895/965). Then go to the corner with fire and water: on the bottom of the bowls there are two golden stones. Pick up the stone in the fire (don't worry, you won't get burned) (05, 900/965). Gabriel will do it, then he'll leave the black glove on its place. Now go to the corner with the two statues and give the stone to Asmodeus, that is on the left (select the stone in your inventory, then click on him and use the "object" icon) (05, 905/965). This will lit three new corners. Go to the one with the two mirrors: use them (click on the platform under them, then use the "step" icon). On the left Gabriel seems an old unshaved ugly man, while on the right he's even more beautiful then in reality. Turn the indicator in the middle of the corner to the left (05, 910/965). Now go to the corner with the three buttons and push the yin-yang symbol (click on it, then use the "wheels" icon) (05, 915/965). A door will open in the remaining corner and Gabriel will go through it in the

Veil Chamber
(05, 920/965). After a short conversation with Mosely and Mesmi, you'll have to choose your way. Nothing here is as seems, so ignore the bridge on the right and position Gabriel between the pillars on the left. Suddenly you'll see lighting up some twinkling squares. It's the same as before: you have to make your way across this "bridge", but this time it may happen that a square disappears under your feet, making you fall down. The largest distance you can jump is a knight move (again), but you can also do shorter jumps. The path across the bridge is shown in the following diagram, but it may happen to you more than once that the square disappears under your feet, so look out.

When you have got across the bridge (10, 930/965), Mosely and Mesmi will join you. Some vampires will come out from the veil, but this will be your friends' business. You'll go through the veil in the

Holy of Holies
You'll find there Montreaux: he wants to get Charlie's blood and you aren't invited to his vampire party. He'll evoke Asmodeus, the Guardian of the Temple, to kill you. The statue in the corner of the room will come to life and will try to do her mission. When you get control, use quickly the Schattenjäger talisman on the demon (click on him, then use the "Talisman" button) to slow him a bit. Then ask quickly Grace for help about the demon (05, 935/965) and, as soon as you get control, climb onto the gold altar in the corner of the room (05, 940/965). As soon as Gabriel climbs on it, use the talisman to make the demon throw back his head and show his throat, then use quickly the Schattenjäger dagger (click on his naked throat and use the "Dagger" button) to kill him (25, 965/965). Thus you get rid of the demon - and of Montreaux.

This is also the end of the game and of this walkthrough: you have only to watch the final sequences and then... start playing again! There's still so much to discovery...
