Interactfiction IRC chat with Jane Jensen

Record of the chat among Jane Jensen and Gabriel Knight fans which took place on the IRC interactfiction channel on February 12th, 2000.

interactfictionADM: Has anyone read "Millennium Rising"?
Jones: thanks, it's 12:41 a.m. here in HK!
Noni: I assume we can ask spoiler questions from GK3, right?
interactfictionADM: Jones: Wow, that's dedication! :)
interactfictionADM: Noni: Sure.
PhilC: Yes, read it again yesterday on the train. Even more scary the second time round!!
MWW: I may leve if there are alot of those.
interactfictionADM: And that's a warning for everyone: there will probably be some spoilers for the games.
interactfictionADM: For people asking questions with spoilers, be gentle. :)
tuula: WHo is your favourite character?
Shandra: I LOVED MR! Really got under my skin
jabe: lets ask her plans about Gabriel Knight 4
DrPN: It's Sierra's plans that matter
Noni: I haven't gotten to read my copy of MR, but it's waiting for me!
MWW: I rather want to know about dante's equation.
Khalid: I've just beed replaying KQ6 :)
Jones: I've played KQ6 more than 4 times :)
Noni: I would LOVE a GK4 novel, even if Sierra doesn't make a GK4 game....at least we could find out what happens to Gabe and Grace
Jones: Sure, there MUST be some form of GK4
Shandra: I totally agree noni
Noni: KQ6 is my favorite KQ game....it was even before I knew Jane worked on it
PhilC: Jane will tell you herself, but as far as I know she's interested in continuing GK in one form or another.
jabe: i hope everyone bought there copy of Gabriel knight 3
MWW: I think I would actually prefer the series continue in book form.
............................ DrPN left.............
MWW: I did, just haven't played it yet.
............................ DrPN joined.............
Noni: jabe....of course! I bought mine the day it arrived
Jones: But I really hope GK4 can be a game though
jabe: who long is jane going to be here
Noni: Jones...me too
Jones: I've bought 3 copies of GK3 indeed!
............................ osb joined.............
Shandra: Speaking of which.....who is looking forward to Dante's equasion?
MWW: Me, Me!
DrPN: I'll probably get it
Jones: I am looking forward to DE, seems interesting
jabe: your great human beeing jones
PhilC: Sounds like an interesting rea,d Shandra, and I loved MR so I'll be buying it.
Shandra: I will too....
Jones: I bought 2 copies of GK3 for myself (one as a collectable) and 1 copy for my friend
PhilC: I just hope it'll be easier to get hold of this time... I had to go up to London to find MR :)
DrPN: How come?
PhilC: It's not out here in the UK, except in specialist 'cult reading/collectables' shops.
jabe: is everyone going to be able to ask questions from her at the same time
............................ gamedame joined.............
interactfictionADM: jabe: I'm going to have people queue up.
interactfictionADM: Hey gamedame!
gamedame: Hi!
interactfictionADM: Okay, for all of you who are here early, if you have a question, type "?". I'll go ahead and add you to the queue.
gamedame: ?
jabe: ok
interactfictionADM: And there's no need to type "?" more than once if you're already in the queue. :)
DrPN: just type ? ?
Jones: How do I know where am I in the queue?
interactfictionADM: DrPN: That's so I know who has a question. It doesn't do anything magic.
interactfictionADM: Jones: If you're worried, *page me. I'll try to make the time to say, 'You're in the queue'.
Jones: right
DrPN: but it's a chat right? don't we get to talk freely?
Shandra: Thanks for doing this for all of us fans ADM!
interactfictionADM: DrPN: Yes and no. :) I'm afraid that, with this many people, it'll be chaos unless we have some sort of order in place.
gamedame: :)
interactfictionADM: Shandra: You bet. Jane's the one we really need to thank, since she's giving up her time to do this.
Shandra: true...very true
Jones: So each time we want to say something, we have to ? first
Noni: Do we wait until the chat starts to type the ?
interactfictionADM: Actually, who all has questions besides gamedame?
Noni: I do!
Noni: ??????? :-)
jabe: and i
PhilC: Sure, I have one!! :)
interactfictionADM: So here's what I'll do.
DrPN: I don't really have any special questions...
interactfictionADM: The queue is only so I can pick who asks questions, to keep someone from not getting to ask their question.
............................ Iddqd joined.............
Shandra: I, oddly enough, can't think of any off the top of my head right now....except the obvious, which you all will ask.. :))
LoneCleric: I feel this is going to be a HUGE mess...
LoneCleric: I'm afraid moderation won't work...
Khalid: Hello god mode :)
Jones: Is it that even I just want to say 'Hello', I have to type ?
interactfictionADM: You can talk freely (but be polite! :) during questions. Whoever is asking the question has the floor.
Noni: LoneCleric, we've had chats with Jane before, and it's gone quite well
Shandra: If everyone does their part to make this work......it will...
PhilC: Nah, should be good, loneCleric. The last time we chatted with Jane we didn't even have a queue and it worked great. With this system it'll probably be even better!
interactfictionADM: LoneCleric: Hopefully everyone will be polite.
DrPN: oh... thats better
............................ andre joined.............
interactfictionADM: Hi andre
Noni: Yes, we are always polite when it comes to Jane!
............................ LoneCleric left.............
interactfictionADM: In the queue so far are: gamedame, Noni, jabe, and PhilC.
PhilC: And Jane enjoys it (or at least makes a good job of pretending :) )
Shandra: LOL
interactfictionADM: PhilC: Heh.
DrPN: heh
jabe: surely everyone is going to be polite to jensen
............................ LoneCleric joined.............
Jones: Do I have to type ? if I just want to say something like 'Hello' but is not a question?
interactfictionADM: Jones: No. The "?" is just if you have a specific question you want asked.
gamedame: I don't know what I want to ask! :(
Iddqd: so, tell me is it already noon? I'm not really sure about the time.
Jones: I c. Thanks ADM
Noni: Phil, I really DO think Jane enjoys her fans :)
interactfictionADM: Jones: No problem.
Noni: I have 11:51PM
interactfictionADM: lddqd: It's still a little before.
Noni: I mean, AM :)
DrPN: about 10 more minutes right?
Noni: Yep
Iddqd: good
Jones: I am getting a bit excited now
Shandra: I have 10:50 AM

Shandra: start the countdown!! :)
............................ Swordmaster joined.............
Swordmaster: Hello
interactfictionADM: For those of you who have just arrived: if you have a question, type "?". I'll add you to the question queue.
interactfictionADM: Hi Swordmaster
gamedame: Don't pick me first, I have to think of a question.
interactfictionADM: gamedame: Okay. :)

interactfictionADM: Hey there devil.
7: hi all
gschmidl: won't say where he's from... better that way :)
tuula: "?"Thank you Jane so very very much. You have given us so much. I hope you go on making games, because reading long books in English is not so easy to non-english in mother tongue. If Sierra won' t let you make GK4 game, is it possible to create a new character?
interactfictionADM: tuula: You're in the queue. Save your question for Jane, though. :)

Noni: Thanks, ADM
Noni: Yippee!!
AnneUK: Hi jane, and hi Noni
tuula: ?
Soumitra: ?
LoneCleric: ?
DrPN: So... are you close to finishing DE?
Noni: Hi, Jane! First of all, thanks for the autographed copy of Sins!! And now to my question.....IS GRACIE PREGNANT??
............................ Mayse joined.............
JaneJensen: Ha! I can't answer that question! That would spoil um, something.
Dave: Ooh ooh...
gamedame: You got an autographed copy? No fair! ;)
JaneJensen: But certainly, that's a possibility....
gamedame: lol
Noni: Ahhhhh.....well, at least you didn't say NO! Thanks, Jane!
JaneJensen: Thanks, Noni!
Noni: I loved GK3, by the way! :)
JaneJensen: It probably really depends on what occurs to me as I write the next story -- what works
AnneUK: I ckecked Jane - the condom was still in his wallet afterwards!!!
TCRyder: ?
interactfictionADM: Next up is jabe, long time fan, first time chatter. :) Take it away, jabe.
Noni: lol Anne!
jabe: hi jane
JaneJensen: Funny Anne
JaneJensen: Hi, Jabe
Laura5: ?
............................ devil left.............
DrPN: ?
gamedame: ...
jabe: What do you think is the future of GK ?
JaneJensen: I don't think there will be a game anytime soon, but it's still possible further out. Sierra is moving more towards...
JaneJensen: console games, which might give GK a possible reincarnation at some point. As for ...
JaneJensen: the GK *stories*, I think the books have done well enough that it would be possible to do more...
jabe: who do you associate with your fans around the world ,becides this chat
JaneJensen: But it depends on several things. So, no, I don't think GK is over, but it doesn't have a definite direction at this point.
JaneJensen: done
Noni: Oh, I have another ?....hope I can get back in line!
interactfictionADM: Noni: You're back in line. :)

gamedame: Jane, when did you first realize your inclinations for game design/writing? How did you fulfill these (through education and experience, etc.), and what would you suggest for someone today (like me) who wants to follow this path?
............................ Soumitrous joined.............
gamedame: A little long-winded there, sorry. ;)
JaneJensen: I had always had an interest in fiction and was writing on my own while being a full-time programmer....
JaneJensen: But when I discovered my first Sierra games "King's Quest IV" and "Manhunter" I realized it would be a great...
JaneJensen: way to blend my fiction interest with my computer background. I basically bugged Sierra until they hired me. :-)...
mrfuton: ahh yeah. i love manhunter
Soumitrous: ?
............................ Leonardo007 joined.............
Leonardo007: Good evening everybody!
AnneUK: lol
JaneJensen: As for what I would recommend. You probably want to get into a game company in some other capacity -- programmer, artist, musician, or writer or doco or dialogue. They rarely...
Leonardo007: Hello :)
JaneJensen: hire an inexperienced designer. Once in house you can work your way up by submitting proposals and proving yourself...
JaneJensen: Taking some programming, film direction, and writing in college will help.
AnneUK: hi Leonardo
JaneJensen: Done
Jones: ?
Mayse: ?
gamedame: Thanks! My current plan is to double major in art and computer science.

JaneJensen: Sounds good, gamedame!
............................ To left.............

adb: That would be a great combo at Sierra!
DrPN: How long did it take you to become a designer?
............................ To joined.............
gamedame: I hope so, adb!
interactfictionADM: Thanks, gamedame. Hang on DrPN, you're up in a few. :)

interactfictionADM: PhilC is up next.
JaneJensen: Hi, Philip!
............................ andre left.............
adb: Mr Colvin...
Leonardo007: Is PhilC Phil Colvin?
Noni: Yes, Leo
PhilC: Yes, that's me :)
Leonardo007: Yes it is...
PhilC: Hi Jane, it's an honour as always! I wanted to ask about the GK3 story, the sheer amount of content and plot lines is incredible. Was there always that much going on in it or did you find yourself adding as you discoverd the oppotunities in the technology etc?
Leonardo007: :)
Dave: As opposed to Mr Cayting?
gamedame: good question!
PhilC: No, I know less about forum moderating as... well... non moderators :)
JaneJensen: The story that ended up in the game is pretty much the story as written in the first draft of the game bible...
JaneJensen: I've compared myself to a cook who throws everything into the pot until it "tastes right"....
............................ To left.............
JaneJensen: I feel I need a lot of stuff going on in a story -- I don't know why I do that to myself (more work:-), but I guess it's just my style.
JaneJensen: DONE
interactfictionADM: Thanks, PhilC. Good question.
Khalid: GK3 was some very good soup :)
............................ To joined.............
Noni: Well, WE certainly love it, Jane!
JaneJensen: Sorry, Phil -- I thought you were Philip Cayting. Well, I know you too, so HI!
interactfictionADM: The next question was mailed to me. It's from "The Grim Reaper". [ominous music]
interactfictionADM: "On the GK3 CD-3, in the data directory, there are multiple files...
interactfictionADM: "...including in-game movies and scenes..but there are 2 files which I...
JaneJensen: on no, a technical question....!
interactfictionADM: "...couldn't view using the RAD video bink tools..which are "day-3c.bik" and...
interactfictionADM: "..."day-3d.bik".I am not sure that this is the exact spelling but I was able..."
adb: I can answer this.
interactfictionADM: "...to view the day-3a.bik and day-3b.bik without any hassle. Can you please...
JaneJensen: Take it, Adam
interactfictionADM: "...tell me what are those other unviewable files?" [done]
............................ Angelwwolf joined.............
Banichi: ?
interactfictionADM: Adam, if you can answer it, feel free.
adb: GK3 is printed on oversized CDs. Those 2 files are "fake" files that make the CDs take up more than 640 Megs of Space.
AnneUK: Hi angelwolf
PhilC: No worries, Jane, I'm used to the name thing :)
TheBSGuy: Hi Jane, Can I ask what you thought of Revolution using some ideas from GK1 in their own game... Broken Sword (Circle of Blood)?
interactfictionADM: Thanks, Adam.
interactfictionADM: TheBSGuy: Hang on. I'll put you in the queue. :)
Angelwwolf: Hi!
DrPN: What?! i feel cheated...
interactfictionADM: Hopefully our next question won't be quite so technical. :) LoneCleric is up next.
Dave: I presume that is to prevent piracy.
............................ FERRARI joined.............
adb: Yes Dave.
LoneCleric: Thanks.
LoneCleric: Who owns the right to the characters and to future GK games? Could you decide to make another GK game with another company?
Leonardo007: Hey, can I ask someone too (for the queue)?
JaneJensen: Hi, LoneCleric.
Leonardo007: Ferrari... Are you the Ferrari from Shapeir?
LoneCleric: I don't especillay like the direction Sierra has been taking lately...
JaneJensen: Sierra owns GK. When I wrote the first game I was a lowly peon on staff. :) (no offense adb)...
FERRARI: Leonardo007, no i'm not
............................ leng joined.............
adb: Ha!
JaneJensen: So no, unless Sierra sold the rights to another company, I can't do GK elsewhere.
JaneJensen: DONE
FERRARI: DONE
Leonardo007: Thanks... Tell me when it's my turn :)
interactfictionADM: Okay, Swordmaster is next.
mrfuton: how's gk3 doing saleswise/
JaneJensen: Hi, Swordmaster!
interactfictionADM: mrfuton: Hang on, there's a queue. :)
Swordmaster: Hi Jane! I finished GK3 last week and was truly impressed by the depth of the storyline. Have you received any feedback about the controversial religious issues of GK3? How have the gamers in general liked the game?
Angelwwolf: There is speculation that Grace will be pregnant in GK4.
Angelwwolf: Is that true?
gamedame: No spoilers!
JaneJensen: GK3 has gotten more of a mixed bag of feedback than either of the other two titles...
Noni: Angel....I already asked...Jane's not saying!
interactfictionADM: Angelwwolf: Noni asked that already. :)
Dave: Noni just asked that Angelwwolf: It's a secret!
Angelwwolf: Oh ok
JaneJensen: I guess I could have anticipated it, because I said from the beginning it was a more esoteric game than either of the other two...
FERRARI: Why did you create GK?
JaneJensen: I suppose that kind of "umberto eco" conspiracy stuff does not appeal to everyone....
LoneCleric: ?
............................ Shandra left.............
FERRARI: WHY DID YOU CREATE GK?
FERRARI: HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
JaneJensen: However, I've gotten so many wonderful letters and we've gotten plenty of great reviews, so I'm not totally bummed! :-)...
interactfictionADM: Ferrari: Hang on. You must wait your turn. I will call on you.
JaneJensen: As for the religious controversy, I personally have only seen a few comments in this area....
interactfictionADM: Ferrari: and it will be a while. There are a lot of people ahead of you.
Swordmaster: That's great to hear, Jane!

JaneJensen: Hi, Tuula!
interactfictionADM: shiajun: Yes. She's "JaneJensen"
AnneUK: hi shiajun
tuula: Hello Jane!!! If Sierra doesn't let you to continue gk games, do you have any ideas for a new game character?
shiajun: Yay!!!!!!!
Noni: Yes, shiajun, she's here!
shiajun: what have I missed?
JaneJensen: Well... I have been asked to submit some proposals for other things, so it's possible....
PhilC: You can read the log later, shaijun.
Noni: shiajun, I'll PM you
shiajun: oh
leng: Trying again. How many copies of GK3 have been sold in USA so far; roughly?

AnneUK: lol
Soumitrous: (can't people ask their questions and let Jane speak?)
shiajun: so will the log include all our senseless dialogs?
gamedame: Not the edited version
DrPN: Hi Jane, gee... so much pressure... anyway, if you were making a new GK would you do it in 3D like GK3 and would you use the same actors?
Dave: It'd be too disorganised, Soumi.
Angelwwolf: ?
interactfictionADM: shiajun: I'll have an unedited log and an edited one. :)
MWW: ?
JaneJensen: DrPN: I really don't know. I'd probably choose 3D over 2D, but it would be nice if the technology...
leng: This is my 1st time on a chat forum. When do we EVER get some Q/A from J A N E ? Or do we?
JaneJensen: were better, further along. I always wanted to do live actors OVER 3D. Swat did something like that but it...
gamedame: There's a long line, leng. Be patient!
JaneJensen: didn't look too great. So that would be my preference.
JaneJensen: DONE
interactfictionADM: Thanks, DrPN. JJFan is up next, with osb on deck.
DrPN: Oh, thanks
JaneJensen: Hi, JJFan!
Dave: Oh really? Hmm... prefered FMV.
JJFan: Hi Jane
Noni: And if we DID have live actors, we could get DEAN ERICKSON back...hehehe
JJFan: What is the title of your next novel?
Shandra: lol noni
shiajun: oh Noni, you'ree obssessed
AnneUK: I hope we can keep the camera view - I loved that
PhilC: You've got Noni excited now, Jjane ;)
gamedame: I like Tim Curry, actually.
Angelwwolf: Oh I wish, Noni!!
Noni: LOL...I just had to throw that in!
DrPN: Yeah, I prefer Tim Curry too
shiajun: ?
gschmidl: gamedame: he sometimes overdoes his lines, but yeah, he's great
JaneJensen: JJFan: It's called "Dante's Equation" and is about the discovery of a physical law of good and evil. it has a lot of kabbalah and physics in it. I'm enjoying it a lot. :-)
JaneJensen: DONE
Soumitrous: (I loved Jeane Takahashi fro GK2!)
Swordmaster: Dean... *shivers* No offence, but I didn't like the acting in GK2
Noni: gamedame, Tim is only good for Gabe's voice...he'd never make it as a real LIVE Gabe
gamedame: Dean reminded me way too much of my brother. ;)
Shandra: it doesn't matter to me as long as GK continues in some form or another
JaneJensen: Noooo -- not this argument again!
Angelwwolf: Tim Curry couldn't be live
Swordmaster: LOL
JJFan: Thanks Jane:) I'll be looking forward to it!!
............................ TheBSGuy left.............
interactfictionADM: Heh. I have to agree with Jane -- this is an old argument. :)
JaneJensen: Thanks for asking about it, JJFan!
mrfuton: agreed, shandra
Shandra: I agree w/ jane too!! NOT AGAIN
Dave: But an endlessly popular one... :)
interactfictionADM: Okay, osb. Your turn to ask a question.
gamedame: Noni- I know! But he's got a great voice, though! ;)
JaneJensen: Hi, osb!
Swordmaster: Does anyone know if there will be a novelization of Blood of the Sacred, Blood of the Damned?
osb: On how the technology curve went up over the series...
DrPN: I bet Jane does
Dave: Not at the moment, Jonas.
............................ deepakm left.............
shiajun: I had the inpresion there wouldn't be a novelization
Soumitrous: ?
osb: I mean, the first was pretty conventional for early-90s adventures, the second FMV, the third 3D...
gamedame: I hope so...I've got the other ones.
Swordmaster: Thanks, Dave. :)

JaneJensen: Do you mean 'how did it come about that GK3 was 3D' or how does the technology affect the design?
PhilC: I've got to go now, but thanks a lot Jane! Hope to see some of you later on the GK forum and other chats!
JaneJensen: Bye Phil!
gamedame: Bye Phil!
jabe: is my turn coming up soon ADM
osb: The latter, yes.
DrPN: Bye Phil
TheBSGuy: ADM... I got cut off there, am I still in the queue?
............................ PhilC left.............
AnneUK: bye Phil
JaneJensen: Well, usually I take a look at prototypes early on in design -- such as looking at Phantas before doing GK2 or in the case of GK3 a 3D prototype...
mrfuton: ?
............................ Noni27 joined.............
JaneJensen: And it does change a bit my ideas on what would work. For GK3 the 3D world felt more like a "dollhouse" to me...
JaneJensen: and I thought it would work well to have the characters moving around independently and you could follow them or not...
AnneUK: wb Noni
............................ Iain left.............
Noni27: Thanks Anne
JaneJensen: So I did a design that was more like "Colonel's Bequest" and more Agatha Christie. However in GK2, since it was FMV...
JaneJensen: I had to make the dialogue more realistic and less cartoony and think about what an actor would actually...
JaneJensen: be able to do. So it does change the design somewhat.
JaneJensen: DONE
Noni27: Gee, I didn't think my comments were bad enough to get booted....lol
Soumitrous: (heh! and we thought Jane felt embarrased THERE at the Talk Spot show!)
interactfictionADM: Thanks, osb. Soumitra, you're up. TCRyder, get ready to be next.
Soumitrous: (just kidding!)
............................ wolflover left.............

JaneJensen: Hi, Soumitrous!
Noni27: Now I'm in here twice!
Soumitrous: (excuse my english) Jane, you would like to do a book for GK3 and a book for GK4 or just a Gk3+Gk4 book?
gamedame: ...Does this chat end strictly at 1 PM est?
Dave: Noni: Parachat takes 15 minutes before a lost nick times-out.
JaneJensen: Soumitrous: I don't know. I'd rather just do a GK4 book. But it might make more sense to do a GK3 book too...
............................ misty left.............
JaneJensen: so that people who are just reading the books can keep up. However, my idea for a GK4 story...
Noni27: Yeah, Dave....thanks
............................ misty joined.............
Khalid: Well, I have to be going
JaneJensen: could be pretty independent of anything that came before. DONE
shiajun: mmm..had to say something to stop from being booted
JaneJensen: Bye, Khalid!
gamedame: I'm glad I got here early. ;)
............................ Khalid left.............
interactfictionADM: Bye Khalid. Thanks for coming.
JJFan: Hate to chat and run, but....It was an honor to meet you Jane :-)
interactfictionADM: Okay, TCRyder, you're next.
JaneJensen: Bye, JJFan!
interactfictionADM: Andy bye JJFan.
............................ JJFan left.............
JaneJensen: Hi, TCRyder
TCRyder: Hi, Jane. Quick, before my daughter drags me away to make her lunch...
AnneUK: there is a freedom in the written word - and great scenery!!
shiajun: actually, If it was a spoken question like the one in the other chat, I've be really nervous
TCRyder: Do you have any plans to go in a new direction, outside of the GK world?
gschmidl: -
JaneJensen: Yes, the books "Millennium Rising" and "Dante's Equation" have been very freeing for me in that regard...
JaneJensen: Since neither are in the GK world, it's a chance to do something completely different....
............................ Noni left.............
gamedame: I'm reading Millennium Rising right now! Captivating.
JaneJensen: As for games, as I mentioned earlier, I am submitting other ideas to Sierra for non-gk stuff and it would be...
shiajun: I haven't ben able to get MM here in mexico....it's frustrating
JaneJensen: nice in a way to be able to do something *very* different. However, that's all up in the air.
AnneUK: I'm already eagerly anticipating Dante's Equation
JaneJensen: DONE
7: ADM can you queue me in?
JaneJensen: Thanks, gamedame!
TCRyder: Thanks Jane
DrPN: ?

Dave: Shia: Try Amazon.com - but you'll need a credit card.

interactfictionADM: Laura5, you're next. Noni, you're after Laura5. Take it away, Laura.
............................ leng left.............
gamedame: Welcome!
Noni27: Thanks, ADM
Laura5: Hi, Jane. First, thank you for creating this wonderful series and its characters. Although I just recently finished GK3, I'm already going into withdrawal. :) Although I know you're probably recuperating from the GK3 process - and writing Dante's Equation - about how long do you think it will be before we see a GK4 novel? And do you see the GK series going farther in the future? (i.e. GK6/7/8?)
shiajun: that's the problem dave, i'm underaged, no credit card

Dave: Yeah, that's what I guessed, Shia. :( Oh well...
JaneJensen: I'm back. Is Laura5 up?
shiajun: hey, what's MM's publisher?
Soumitrous: ?
interactfictionADM: Jane: Laura5 is up. You may still be able to see her question in your window.
Dave: Just a little higher up the page - the long one.
JaneJensen: Ok, Laura5... I see your question.
gamedame: I'll brb...the dogs are barking like mad.
JaneJensen: My plan is to finish "Dante's Equation" by July or so and then I may start a GK4 story unless I have...
............................ adb left.............
Dave: Oops, lost Adam...
shiajun: adb was here?
misty: -
JaneJensen: other committments in gamedom, such as a different series. ...
shiajun: thank's Shandra
David34: nice... still with sierra or another company?
JaneJensen: I never thought of GK as having a limit. To me it's like Sherlock Holmes, there can never be too many stories...
............................ adb joined.............
Angelwwolf: HE'LL BE BACK, i'M SURE
shiajun: he's back
interactfictionADM: There's Adam back again.
JaneJensen: but probalby the audience or myself will tire of it before it's really "done". Certainly, there are ideas for a GK4 and GK5.
Shandra: WB adam
JaneJensen: DONE
David34: hi adam
Angelwwolf: wb Adam
Laura5: Thanks, Jane. :)
adb: My connection crashed, sorry
Swordmaster: wb Adam
Dave: Irritating.
interactfictionADM: Great! Noni -- or Noni27, as the case may be -- it's your turn.
shiajun: I've got to get a pen
DrPN: WB Adam
gschmidl: hee
Noni27: So, in other words, Jane, can we be assured that there WILL be a GK4, either in game form or as a novel?
JaneJensen: Hi again, Noni...
David34: excellent.. if GK4 falls through as a PC game, will you be allowed to continue the series as novels?
gamedame: I'm back.
Swordmaster: ?
AnneUK: Hmmm thats what Conan Doyle thought but his audience did not tire - neither will yours Jane :-)
JaneJensen: Noni: I believe there will be a GK4, yes. I'd hate to leave you guys hanging after the ending of GK3!...
Dave: Ooh... pressing question!
Noni27: Dave, my question exactly...lol
JaneJensen: I didn't even think about how long it might be before there's another gk when I wrote that ending. I understand it can be annoying!...
............................ Mayse left.............
............................ Mayse joined.............
Noni27: Jane...us too! We NEED some closure between Gabe and Grace!
JaneJensen: So, yes I think in some form there will be a GK4.
JaneJensen: DONE
Noni27: Thanks, Jane!
interactfictionADM: Thanks, Noni. Good question. Gunther, you're up. To is next after him.
gschmidl: First, I just wanted to note Sierra is one of the very few companies that delivers excellent German translations of their games.
JaneJensen: Hi, Gunther!
gschmidl: But why the non-native actor for the policeman in the US version of GK2?
Soumitrous: (Jane: you felt in your own flesh of frustrating are uncontinued cliffhangers: remember Manhunter 2?? :-)!
Angelwwolf: Well we have a petition going with about a 1000 signatures on it for a GK4
gschmidl: (ok, so it's not a very good question)
David34: thank you... i liked the ending now that i really thoroughly played the game. on one hand it was closure to the series, but on the other it was a great way to open the door for a whole new set of adventures/cases
JaneJensen: When we are casting for a game we do try to get native actors when possible. But sometimes that just doesn't work out...
David34: QG5 (even though it wasn't that great) got made simply through popular demand, so believe me there is a precedent
JaneJensen: The actor for the policeman in GK2 was perfect for the role otherwise and had a decent German accent -- to *American* ears. As as you pointed out...
LoneCleric: (Same could be said about Arnaud in GK3. If he's French then I'm a poodle...)
JaneJensen: the foreign versions do their own dubbing.
JaneJensen: DONE
gschmidl: gk2 was really hard to get right in German. Excellent job, I must say :)
interactfictionADM: Thanks, Gunther. To, it's your turn. Jones, get ready to ask your question.

To: What inspired you to write a story about vampires and Jesus?
DrPN: ahem...
aryeh: Just finished GK3 ...... Wow!!!! How is it going financially.
JaneJensen: Well, vampires were going to be the theme of GK3 a long time ago, before I had any clue about Rennes-le-Chateau...
shiajun: woops
JaneJensen: Then when I found RLC I wanted to do the game on *that*. As it turned out, the vampire idea fit in well...
JaneJensen: with RLC because the point of the mystery is about *bloodlines*. The real-life RLC bloodline mystery...
JaneJensen: is completely intertwined with the bloodline of Jesus. So all of these elements ended up in the game...
David34: here's a point: in GK1, you kind of predicted the series when in the library, Gabriel is researching and he comes up with lycanthropy (werewolves) and vampires. A little foreshadowing way back when??
JaneJensen: And interesting note, I had thought before RLC about having my vampires be interested in *special* blood, like that of immortals like the wandering Jew..
JaneJensen: almost like a search for the fountain of youth. This, too, tied in perfectly with RLC.
JaneJensen: DONE
To: thanks Jane!
interactfictionADM: Woo, interesting thought.
interactfictionADM: Thanks, To. It's your turn, Jones.
JaneJensen: Hi, Jones!
Jones: Hi Jane, it's my pleasure talking to you! I'm a long time Sierra and GK fan from Hong Kong. My question is : Which GK (1/2/3) do you like best / have the most fun working on? Story wise, Game wise, and Production wise.
Swordmaster: David: And GK3 suggests GK4 will be about ghosts... ;)
DrPN: Oh yeah... in GK2 when Grace looks at the bookshelf she sees vampires and asian spirits...
David34: exactly..
gschmidl: -
Soumitrous: (my my!)
Angelwwolf: typing something just so I won't get booted off. :)
JaneJensen: Jones: They were all 3 so different in production. I enjoyed GK2 production because of the excitement of filming wiht live actors and being on the set...
Leonardo007: ditto...
AnneUK: :-)
shiajun: i thikn foreshadowings are cool
gamedame: That is a hard question! It's like picking a favorite child or something. ;)
JaneJensen: That was probably the most fun "socially". GK1 was great because it was my first real solo effort and very exciting...
misty: -
gschmidl: ok, I have to leave. Bye all!
shiajun: bye
JaneJensen: In GK3 I was deeply into and committed to the story and felt it was the best story yet, but the production was, frankly, kind of a nightmare.
JaneJensen: DONE
interactfictionADM: Bye Gunther.
gamedame: ...each a different labor of love! :)
Swordmaster: Bye GUnther
DrPN: Cya
Jones: Thanks Jane.
interactfictionADM: Thanks for the question, Jones. Next up is Mayse.
JaneJensen: Hi, Mayse!
Mayse: In Gk3 gabreil spends a pretty long time looking for the vampire from the treasure searcher why were the kidnapper vampires kept away from the storyline until the very end in the game?
Jones: ?
JaneJensen: It worked out that way for several reasons. One is the story is structure more like an Agatha Christie where...
gamedame: No spoilers, please...
JaneJensen: there are many suspects and you don't know who is the right one until the very end. That means you don't...
JaneJensen: get overly involved with any one suspect to the exclusion of the others. There really weren't other suspects in GK1 and not many in GK2...
Angelwwolf: it would ruin it if we knew who it was in the middle of the game
mrfuton: ?
interactfictionADM: You're back in queue.
JaneJensen: Also, the GK3 story is really more about RLC than just about "vampires" per se. And I thought this was ultimately more interesting than just another vampire tale...
interactfictionADM: You're currently #4 in the queue.
TCRyder: -
JaneJensen: One thing I've seen on boards -- why don't you get too close to Montreaux. My feeling was to every game repeat the formula of Gabe getting deeply...
shiajun: .
Angelwwolf: Where am I?
David34: definitely very different, even different from anne rice's vampires
MWW: Oh dear, gotta go, I'll have to catch the rest in the chatlog. ADM, please remove me from the queue. My question was answered already anyway.
interactfictionADM: Whoops, ignore that.
Swordmaster: I do agree! I really loved the RLC mystery
Shandra: GK3 was more of play along mystery than the other two in my opinion....the player didn't know much more that Gabe himself did...
DrPN: ADM, am I in the queue too?
JaneJensen: invovled with the antagonist would get old. As in Sherlock Holmes, sometimes Sherlock is fighting Moriarty and sometimes it's just another crook. To do it every time would get too formulaic.
JaneJensen: DONE
gamedame: I can't wait until I get a spiffy new computer to play GK3 on...the game itself is waiting patiently on my desk, beckoning...
DrPN: Yikes...
AnneUK: me too
interactfictionADM: Interesting. Banichi, it's your turn.
David34: adm can you put me in the queue?
Banichi: Above you said you were a full-time programmer before getting involved with Sierra. I'm a programmer so I'm curious, what type of programming?
MWW: see you all later. bye.
interactfictionADM: Bye MWW.
shiajun: bye MWW
............................ MWW left.............
JaneJensen: Hi, Banichi. I worked for Hewlett-Packard for six years, doing interface design for data entry, then a buffere managed for networking mainframes, then finally a device driver for a networking card. Very technical stuff ,and rather boring.

interactfictionADM: Let's go on to Leonardo007 then, while we wait for BSGuy to return.
Leonardo007: Jane, it's a big pleasure and a great honor to speak with you :) When creating GK3, were you inspired from another computer games? What are your favorite games except the GK series? And last but not least, isn't it time to finally reveal Gracie's letter? Maybe Adam can answer this one... :)
JaneJensen: Yup.
Angelwwolf: I don't see BS guy on the list
DrPN: Wow, that was fast...
interactfictionADM: Good point, Angel.
David34: i think he left
Shandra: he's actually TheBSGuy
JaneJensen: Okay, first, as I mentioned, I always liked "Colonel's Bequest" and how you could miss a lot or see a lot...
Noni27: The letter HAS been revealed
Dave: Adam already revealed the letter, Leonardo - check the thread on the forum.
Angelwwolf: Yeah, I'm the sharp eyed one alright. ;-)
gamedame: which forum?
Swordmaster: The letter was revealed on the GK3 forum! :)
JaneJensen: based on how thorough you were as a player. I used that paradigm to some degree in GK3. What else...
Swordmaster: Hello to Joe Camel!
Shandra: the offical GK forum swordmaster
Dave: The GK Games forum, GameDame. Go to www.sierrastudios.com and click on 'Community'.
JaneJensen: I played just a bit of "Broken Sword" but I liked how their dialogue was picture-based rather than sentence based, so I guess we stole that. :-)
JaneJensen: DONE

Noni27: "Gabe....I'm moving in with Joe Camel...sorry.....Grace"
Swordmaster: Shandra: I know that! :)
gamedame: thanks, dave.
Krusty: I have to leave now :-(. Jane it was an honor even when I couldn't ask you anything
JaneJensen: As for the letter...
interactfictionADM: Bye Krusty. Sorry you couldn't stay.
shiajun: Bye
Shandra: sorry......

Angelwwolf: This chat isn't going to end in a minute, is it?
mrfuton: hi there.. i'm a big fan and long time gamer (started with 'gold rush'!). i'd like to personally thank you and the design team for all the work on gk3 - it's truly a masterpiece. i also very much enjoyed the 'agatha christie' approach. the laura bow games are among my all time favorites.
mrfuton: anyhow, my question. hopefully this hasn't been asked to death, but.. any signs from sierra if they're happy with what gk3's done? do you think the days of "classic sierra adventure" are behind us (from either sierra or other companies)?

shiajun: how?

Shandra: it is here too......
LoneCleric: How long did it take between your debut at Sierra and your "promotion" to game designer?
Shandra: mistype....
LoneCleric: You were writing manuals, right?
JaneJensen: I was hired at Sierra to be a staff writer based on the strength of a short story. Almost immediately I was asked to co-design "EcoQuest" because it was an idea...
LoneCleric: Ah...
............................ Lara left.............
JaneJensen: that our VP had and he wanted some "writers" to develop it. AFter that came KQ6 with Roberta. So I guess it was...
aryeh: Approx how many $'s does it cost to make a game like GK3 ... and to promote, etc.
JaneJensen: about 2 years before they gave me a chance to do my own series.
JaneJensen: DONE
shiajun: a what a sereies it is!!!!!!
Angelwwolf: Ah Jane, you lucked out! That's great! :)
LoneCleric: ?
Dave: Fast promotion!
interactfictionADM: Nice follow-up. Swordmaster, it's your turn.
Soumitrous: (not a surprise if we look how KQ6 was!)
Soumitrous: (great I mean)
JaneJensen: Thanks, Soumitrous!
DrPN: Obviously
shiajun: i agree
Swordmaster: On the course of doing research for the GK games, did you ever encounter something that you didn't expect to find and that was more mysterious in real life than you had anticipated? (If you understand what I mean...) Also, how did your research trips to Germany and France affect the game design and development?
Pakkidis: So do I
JaneJensen: Yes, for example, when we were at the royal museum in Munich researching GK2 there was a lot of stuff about how...
DrPN: Gotta go to the bathroom... brb
JaneJensen: Ludwig's family was into the "Order of St. George". Another example, when researching RLC I learned that the Wittelsbachs....

JaneJensen: that I wrote the pervious stories or got the ideas. Also while researching onsite, I often get ideas such as...
Angelwwolf: Wow!
JaneJensen: in GK2 the lakeside place where Ludwig drowned was not in the original design but was such a cool place...
gamedame: pervious? ;)
JaneJensen: when we visited that I put it in.
JaneJensen: DONE

Shandra: howmany down am I??
JaneJensen: more viable now are game concepts that can combine some adventure elements with some other kinds of gameplay -- stategey, RPG or combat....
Pakkidis: What other adventure games has Jane played?

Swordmaster: Pakkidis: Good question!

Angelwwolf: thanks.:)
Dave: Heh!
JaneJensen: Hi, Shiajun. I'm very fond of GK and I would like to keep dabbling in it for many years to come. However, at this point since I have...
JaneJensen: done other things ("Millennium Rising" and "Dante's Equation") I no longer feel that I would be devastated...
JaneJensen: and unable to work if I couldn't do GK.
JaneJensen: Um, I've only been to Mexico over the border near El Paso. So I haven't seen much I'm afraid!
JaneJensen: DONE
shiajun: thanks jane
Shandra: but we would be devistated.... :)
aryeh: What do you prophecy as the future of the "pure" computer Adventure game & also the Action/adventure genre?
interactfictionADM: Thanks Shiajun. 7, you're at bat.
7: Hi Jane. Quite a few fans were a bit disappointed by what many term "the Temple Of Doom ending sequence" of GK3. How was the idea born and are you yourself satisfied with it?
JaneJensen: aryeh, ADM must put you on the question list. Sorry!
jabe: there are many fans from finland here JANE
Dave: Clearly,
JaneJensen: There have been 'action' elements in other GK games such as the mummies in GK1 and the ending 'wolf' sequence in GK2. I feel as a writer that...
JaneJensen: the ending should be more "actiony" and fast-paced. Personally, I like these kinds of little puzzles which are as much logic as reflex...
shiajun: I liked the mummies contrary to most people
David34: it wasn't like the new indiana jones game which was basically a tomb raider clone with Indiana Jones and George Lucas' name stamped on it
JaneJensen: for example, one of my favorites series in "Manhunter" and they did this kind of thing all over...
JaneJensen: What's weird is in development, marketing and management only "light up" when they see these kinds of things...
JaneJensen: they don't really 'get' the more investigative parts. So to some extent, this kind of puzzle is there for marketing and sales, too.
JaneJensen: DONE
David34: fate of atlantis was a great game that balanced adventure and action as much as the player liked, but from what i heard, the infernal machine is just a tomb raider clone
interactfictionADM: Thanks, 7. Okay, Pakkidis, you had a question?
Swordmaster: FOA is one of my fav adventures
Soumitrous: (I liked the end part of GK3 -- specially the chess and pendulum parts! -- it felt such a tribute to other titles...)
Pakkidis: Jane what other adventure games have you played
Swordmaster: The chess board puzzle was interesting
shiajun: The only adventure I played from lucas was Grim fandango, and it's up there with Gk on my favorites list
David34: shiajun - fate of atlantis is great, but it's an old game and hard to find
AnneUK: the variety of puzzles in GK are a huge bonus to my mind - makes it much more fun
JaneJensen: I started out with KQIV and played all the KQs. I also liked the "Monkey Island" series and "Loom" and other Lucas Island games...
David34: look in the bargain bin at a computer dealer and you might be able to find it
Dave: Oh yeah, did you solve that problem with GF, Shia?
To: ?
gamedame: I know, I'm trying to get my own copy of FOA...it's hard! ;)
JaneJensen: I have played a bit of "Broken Sword" and "Sanitarium" -- more to get a feel for them than anything else.
JaneJensen: DONE
shiajun: yeah
shiajun: DAve
Dave: Good.
Angelwwolf: You should play Grim Fandango too
Pakkidis: What other adventure game designer do you look up to
interactfictionADM: Quick announcement: I'll let the official chat run for another 10 minutes or so, and then we need to let Jane go.
shiajun: i finished last week, I was awed, much like the GK endings
adb: Okay, I think Jane can handle it from here :-) I'll talk to everyone later! It's been fun!
Angelwwolf: Oh, and The Blackstone Chronicles :)
Shandra: bye adam
JaneJensen: Bye, Adam!
interactfictionADM: Bye Adam.
Dave: Bye Adam!
Swordmaster: Bye Adam!
shiajun: bye
David34: bye adam
Angelwwolf: Bye
Soumitrous: :-)
............................ adb left.............
AnneUK: bye Adam
interactfictionADM: Jane, do you have a quick response to Pakkidis's final question?
JaneJensen: Oh, I've played the Larry series and Space Quest also -- most Sierra games :-)
JaneJensen: I guess Roberta Williams , Tim Shaeffer and Ron Gilbert.
JaneJensen: DONE
jabe: where is JANE at the moment?
interactfictionADM: Great! DrPN, you're up again.
Angelwwolf: You should play Grim Fandango and the Blackstone Chronicles too. They are fun. :)
gamedame: I'm a fan of Tim's work too.
JaneJensen: Thanks, Angelwolf, I will

DrPN: Okay... some people didn't like Gabriel's personality in GK3... something about him being too self absurbed... Do you think that's true and would you change his personality in the next game?
jabe: at home?
TCRyder: Zork Nemisis
Angelwwolf: :)
shiajun: Normality was a strange adventure
shiajun: anybody play it?
gamedame: I have
JaneJensen: I think it's harder if you haven't been following the character. I wanted to get back to more of the bantering and humor of GK1 that really wasn't as possible in GK2....
Angelwwolf: Never heard of it
David34: i think gabe's personality in gk3 was much truer to his original wiseass gk1 persona than the live actor
Noni27: Zork Nemesis was great!
Soumitrous: (heh -- and many people find Grace too 'bitchy' in GK2 -- that made her much belieable!)
mrfuton: right on david34
JaneJensen: To me, Gabe in GK3 has returned (slipped back) to someof his old ways, and it was necessary set-up for him to get him "come-uppance" as a character, which he does at the end of GK3....
DrPN: I thought so too...
TCRyder: Thanks Noni
Noni27: Grace was not bitchy....just protecting her "territory"...lol
Angelwwolf: I didn't think he was too sarcastic. I kind of found him funny
JaneJensen: But yes, I think GK4 was always intended to be darker and I think I would pull back the smark-aleckness in another game.
JaneJensen: DONE
............................ Gilligan left.............
interactfictionADM: Good question, DrPN. Your turn, Soumitrous.
David34: wow, talk about planning ahead!
Soumitrous: (what's 'come-uppance'?)
jabe: i think that Gabriel Knigth isJane's fantasyman
DrPN: Thanks Jane...
Pakkidis: lol
To: -
David34: i think all the fans are drooling at the mouth already at the GK4 nuggets we're hearing
JaneJensen: Nightmare man!
Soumitrous: Thanks again for your time, Jane. Do you have ideas for any new type of puzles for adventurous games (I mean, something fresh like The Serpent Rouge in GK3) And just curious -- really H-powder works with wood?
Dave: Well, I must be going too - my dinner's ready. Bye everyone - I expect I'll be at the other chat later, so see you then!
jabe: is it really
Noni27: Soumitrous....Gabe gets what's coming to him for being such a cad to Gracie
misty: -
DrPN: Cya Dave
JaneJensen: Huh? H-powder works with wood? Um... as for your question.... yes, I think if I did another game I would focus...
Shandra: bye dave
Noni27: Bye Dave!
David34: will gabriel write a novel on his adventures in GK3 or will he be too shook up to do it?
Dave: Bye.
............................ Dave left.............
Soumitrous: (H powder like Lady Howard's one and Abbe's Window?)
JaneJensen: on trying to find more unique puzzles. I thought the puzzles in GK1 were a strong suit and I went that direction again with GK3. Gk2 FMV didn't allow for those kinds of puzzles.
JaneJensen: DONE
interactfictionADM: Next up is Jones. Ask away!
gamedame: I've got to go...bye Jane, and Jan fans! It was great to finally meet you. :-)
JaneJensen: Oh, that! That's a Larry kind of puzzle!
JaneJensen: Bye gamedame -- thanks for coming.
Jones: Hi Jane! A follow up question to your previous answer... You said that the production of GK3 was kind of a nightmare, how was it so? Also, will you consider approaching other game companies to start another game series if Sierra has decided not to produce any more adventure games?
DrPN: Bye gamedame
............................ saint left.............
............................ Jellybaby joined.............
............................ gamedame left.............
JaneJensen: I don't think I would approach another company except, maybe, if I really wasn't hacking it for a few years as a novelist and Sierra...
............................ Banichi left.............
JaneJensen: wouldn't let me do anything. Then I might be desparate enough to shop myself around!...
Jellybaby: i hate pakkis
Soumitrous: XD
shiajun: XD?
Pakkidis: What do you think of the new management of sierra compared to the old
JaneJensen: GK3 was tough because we were developing the engine at the same time as the game and the process took so long -- 3 years. We kept losing teammembers and having to start over. it was hard. DONE
interactfictionADM: Thanks for the question, Jones. David34, you're up.
Jones: Thanks Jane
Soumitrous: XD = :D
Swordmaster: ?
JaneJensen: At 10:30 I have to split....
Soumitrous: Many thanks Jane!
Soumitrous: Keep up the good work.
interactfictionADM: ...which means that this is probably our last question.
interactfictionADM: David?
Swordmaster: Damn!
DrPN: That's 5 minutes right?
David34: awesome.. hi jane, thanks for answering my email before. one quick question: do you read the fan fiction online? any favorites?
Angelwwolf: It goes so fast!
Shandra: ok jane......I'll just have to ask my ? some other time.....
David34: don't know if somebody already asked this question
shiajun: yeah
JaneJensen: Hi. No, I don't read the fan fiction *at all*. I decided that a long time ago. The main reason is...
David34: shandra - you can email her and she'll be happy to answer you back
Shandra: I know......
JaneJensen: that I worry that I might run into a story idea that's actually *good* and then later, if I should want to do something similiar...
Angelwwolf: LOL
Swordmaster: :)
David34: good point
AnneUK: lol - good point
Shandra: good point...
David34: i read it for the same reasons she doesn't
shiajun: nice answer
JaneJensen: because it just makes sense as I've deloping a story, I will feel I can't use it because I don't want to plagerize. So no, I make a point not to see any of that stuff.
JaneJensen: DONE
DrPN: Makes sense
interactfictionADM: Mayse has one final quick question. Ask fast!
David34: thanks..
Mayse: Will the gk3 music be online at sometime and please read kalevala :)
Swordmaster: Music can be easily extracted from the game anyway :)
JaneJensen: Who is Kalevala? I don't have any idea about the music. The stuff from GK1 and GK2 that's online has been done by fans, not by us. Bob (my husband, Robert Holmes)...
Swordmaster: Jane: Kalevala is the national epic of Finland, highly appreciated by scholars
misty: -
JaneJensen: doesn't have sheet music for any of his stuff nor even final recordings. So I think it's unlikely unless a fan does it or possibly if Sierra does it at some point.
JaneJensen: DONE
interactfictionADM: Great! Thanks for coming, Jane, and for typing your fingers to the bone.
JaneJensen: Sounds good, thanks, Swordmaster!
shiajun: bye jane
LoneCleric: Yep, thanks Jane.
TCRyder: Bye Jane. Thanks!
Shandra: thanks for coming jane|
shiajun: we love you!
misty: thanks!
LoneCleric: T'was an honor...
AnneUK: Thanks Jane - it was great
JaneJensen: Thanks to everyone for coming and asking questions.... BYE!!!!
Mayse: thank you and goodbye
tuula: Thanks Jane
Jones: Thanks Jane!
DrPN: Thanks Jane, it's been great
interactfictionADM: And that ends the official chat. Thanks to everyone who came.
Swordmaster: Thanks a million, Jane
mrfuton: rock on jane
Laura5: Thanks Jane! :)
Pakkidis: Thanks Jane
Angelwwolf: bye!
Soumitrous: Bye Jane, have a great time.
shiajun: mail me!
DrPN: Bye!
To: Thanks Jane
Mayse: don't leave adventure games!
............................ JaneJensen left.............
Swordmaster: ...and all the best for Jane's future career!
aryeh: bye Jane
............................ To left.............
David34: thanks jane, best of luck in the future and hope to see more stuff (games novels) from you soon
............................ PhilipC left.............
interactfictionADM: Wow, that really did seem to go fast.
Shandra: uh huh.....
TCRyder: Thanks to you too ADM
DrPN: Well... it's over...
Swordmaster: ADM: Tell me about it! :)
interactfictionADM: You bet.
Jones: thanks ADM
interactfictionADM: For those of you who still had questions: e-mail them to me at interactfiction.guide@about.com
............................ aryeh left.............
Swordmaster: Yeah, thanks for arranging this chat, ADM!
Angelwwolf: Yup, thanks Adm :)
shiajun: Hey guys, see you later at the GK chat!
Pakkidis: Thanks
Shandra: I didn't get to ask my q but oh well...it wasn't a very good one anyway.... :)
David34: bye folks...
interactfictionADM: I'll see if Jane is willing to answer them, and I'll make the answers available with the transcript.
LoneCleric: Yep, thanx Sarge!
............................ David34 left.............
DrPN: ADM, you rule... thanks for this chat
AnneUK: thanks to ADM for arranging this :-)
Angelwwolf: What was it, Shandra?
Shandra: thx ADM
Jones: That 'queuing' policy works better than I thought :)
mrfuton: rock on adm
Mayse: i had to cut off my first part of the question in the hurry :(
interactfictionADM: Aw, shucks. *blush*
shiajun: wait, is anybody here goingt o the chat later in the day?
Shandra: How St. George became the patron saint of the Schattenjagers
