Chris Brockett - Environment Artist

Originally posted on the official Gabriel Knight website.

I'm from the country-song-fodder town of Boise, Idaho. A sadly maligned area it seems you have to be from to love. However, like all hometowns, it lacked a certain je ne sais quoi, so I struck out to points unknown. Headed off to University of Idaho for a degree in Theatrical Scene Design and crash courses in roommate diplomacy. After finding myself in London, Philladelphia, New York, and Santa Fe for varying amounts of time I settled in Seattle. Really love it here. But God, if you're reading this, be so kind as to cut the cloud cover by half, thanks.

I did the Horatio Alger thing about 3 and a half years ago, went out, bought a computer and started learning 3d applications. 3 months ago I landed my shiny new job with Sierra (thus ending the single longest sacrificial era of my life). Plenty o' good kharma in that happenstance 'cause this is one fine game to be workin' on. The people I'm working with are of the highest calliber, the game is extremely interesting and complex, and I am constantly being pushed to new highs in creativity and productivity. We, the environment artists, have been tasked with producing one room per week. This is a bit of a feat, but we're all over it. Look ma, no hands.

The waiting for GK3 has gotta be killin' ya, but it'll be worth it.
