Scott Honn - Lead Programmer

Originally posted on the official Gabriel Knight website.

Deep in the heart of almost every programmer is a desire to create fantastic computer games. Only a few will actually follow the haunting call and be lured away from business applications, swept up in the maelstrom of creativity and deadlines we call the game industry. If anyone is contemplating the jump I offer my well thought out advice: DO IT!!! There is nothing like the flow of code through the fingertips molding a great game.

Sierra allows us to explore the edge of the envelope and -- with this team especially -- to be a part of a tight feedback loop where an individual's idea may well be incorporated in the final cut.

When work with Jane Jensen started a number of personal interests dove-tailed quite nicely into what we are in the process of creating (CENSORED) and so I turned a psych degree into a game-programming career. Instead of straightening out twisted mythologies I found it is much more rewarding to create them!!

A few wise words:

"Be nice to other people; They out number you 5.5 billion to 1" - Dru'El The Chaotic

"I consider dogmatic belief and dogmatic denial very childish forms of conceit in a world of infinitely whirling complexity." - R.A.W.

"Be Ye Not Lost Among Precepts of Order" - The Book Of Uterus 1;5
